Chemonics International seeks qualified Bosnian candidates for the Fostering Agricultural Markets Activity (FARMA), a USAID/SIDA-funded project which will provide technical assistance in BiH sub-sectors of agriculture markets through demand driven assistance aimed at improved competitiveness of agricultural products. FARMA is to expand environmentally sustainable production, processing and sales of value-added agricultural products, and contribute to poverty reduction in BiH.

Graphic Designer, local, short-term, Sarajevo
The consultant shall report to FARMA Marketing Specialist and COP. The position is based in Sarajevo, but some travel within Bosnia/Herzegovina is possible. Candidates from all over the country are encouraged to apply.

The purpose of this assignment is to assist producer organizations to improve their visual identity, which will lead to increased brand awareness, increased sales, development of new distribution channels, or new product development.
Tasks and deliverables
Specific tasks shall include but are not limited to:
- Design new or re-design existing logos;
- Design labels and/or packaging, including secondary packaging;
- Design business cards, memorandums, leaflets, posters, roll-up panels and other promotional materials;
- Design websites;
- As required, support FARMA project beneficiaries with graphic design for events such as conferences, round tables, seminars, and various promotional events.
Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant educational background (such as graphic design, art, marketing, computer science) is required;
- Substantial experience and creativity in graphic design is essential;
- Experience in designing logos and labels for the agricultural/food processing industry is highly desirable;
- Must be highly organized and comfortable working on multiple simultaneous projects and be deadline-driven;
- Ideally should have the required hardware and software to perform the above tasks;
- Knowledge of English is preferred.
Timing and Work Days per Month
The Graphic Designer shall begin work during June 2012, for up to 10 days per month. The initial contract shall be for a period of 3 months, which may be extended for a limited time subject to performance and availability of funds.

- Packaging: Have in mind round jar, 200-500 grams
